Bossy Hair history

bossy hair was established in Brisbane by Antoinette and Michael Thorpe in January 2000. In 2004 bossy hair sold its first franchise, and in 2010 bossy hair celebrates its 10th year as a successful Queensland brand and growing franchise system.

Most of the stores are owned and operated by enthusiastic entrepreneurs – usually former hairdressers or Bossy employees – taking those first steps toward successful, job creating ventures with the help of the Bossy.

Strategic store locations and ongoing training programs for both franchisee and employees to bossy hair’s high standards have played a big part in the franchise's long term success and stable growth.

The group currently has 12 stores throughout Brisbane, with more planned to meet the growing client demand and franchisee interest, including a new training academy at the Kelvin Grove urban village.
